Happy Halloween everyone!!! This year I wanted to make my own costume for Halloween. While wandering through DIY costume ideas, this Roy Lichtenstein's comic book girl costume idea blew me away. So, I put together my own version of this look. I purchased my dress from an eBay vintage store, I got a make up kit, and some black tape from Pearl. I had a red belt with a bow in the back and I wore that with the dress. Make-up took me around 40 minutes, the hardest part of the makeup was doing the red dots, it took me a looong time to paint them one by one:) I used the round back of a make up brush and applied red paint on my face one by one. Patience is the key here. After all, it was worth spending a lot of time on the costume... Hope you get inspired from this post as well...

Cool Casa in Madrid, Spain

image r29

I found this Madrid apartment owned by stylist Jamie Lacasa through Elle Decor Spain. I fell in love with the blues and bright colors of the apartment and especially the iron framed windows that separate the bedroom and the living room, a very good decoration idea to divide rooms in a big space. I never thought of painting a library blue would look so great, these pictures prove that blue furniture could go really well with anything if combined with correct colors.
I also added some street fashion pictures of girls that I thought could really own this apartment by looking at their outfits. They match perfectly with this apartment:)

Inspired by CHANEL Spring 2012 Collection

Hi, I'm Susi, a writer for Arcadian Lighting, a blog all about lighting fixtures and decor ideas. I am so happy to be guest blogging here at Bisous Chic today. I was inspired by your post on the amazing conch shell bags in the Chanel Spring 2012 collection. I've turned four of the gorgeous outfits from the runways into rooms inspired by the colors, textures and accessories from the collection. Hope you enjoy!

Chanel Inspired

Pink tweed with the signature contrasting piping in black is so timeless Chanel. I love the deconstructed tailored jacket over the ruffled skirt.

Chanel Inspired

This ruffled duvet cover has the same gorgeous layers of fabric as the skirt above. The look would be completed with a pair of shams in pink linen or tweed with black piping..

Chanel Inspired

The shell clutch and sea anemone ring look incredible. Against a gorgeous silk stain with tons of beautiful details, these accessories are more chic than coastal.

Chanel Inspired

This dining room has the same shell inspired style as the accessories above. The classic French style is so Chanel. The gorgeous chandelier†is an inspired design.

Chanel Inspired

Love all the gorgeous details and pale pastels in the 2012 Spring collection. Tweeds, piping, rope details, and classic Chanel chains are great inspiration for decorating.

Chanel Inspired

This room is all about textures and details. Grasscloth on the walls offers a similar texture to tweed. Sparkling gold accents with simple table lamp; rope woven jute area rug and pale pastels give this room a beautiful layer of colors and textures.

Chanel Inspired

Beautiful soft aqua, cream and gold colors with loads of texture make this dress incredible. Feathers, lace and beading offer intricate detail.

Chanel Inspired

Layers of aqua and gold mixed with cream make this bedroom gorgeous. I love the feathery gold spray of the sunburst mirror, the sparkle of the pendant lights and the rich, swirling damask of the canopy fabric.

What do you think of the post? Comments are welcome! Don't forget to check out Arcadian Lighting for some fashion inspired lighting fixtures for your home.

Blue skirt and damask top runway look is from Aquilano e Rimondi Spring Summer 2012 collection. I have been seeing this "show upper part of the stomach" trend for a while. This trend looks perfect on models, and I can't wait to see it on the street (perhaps I need to wait for the summer). The one item that I love in this post is the Tiffanys fifth avenue box. It would look so chic on top of a stack of coffee table books and a vase full of roses. If you are up for spending $100 in this box, click here.

Getting close to Halloween, just wanted to get more inspiration for a halloween decoration. Pumpkins alone make a great decor, they are perfect to bring the Halloween spirit to your home. You can combine pumpkins with lemons and oranges to add more color and brightness. Or a great way to decorate your home entrance (outside or inside) is to make a vase out of pumpkins and decorate them with fall flowers like in Picture 5, looks lovely.
